Since 2012, Mother Earth Food has reshaped the way our region eats. We’re a family-owned food hub based in Asheville, connecting people to seasonal, sustainably grown food from local and regional producers.
Our mission is simple: build a resilient, relationship-based food system that works for everyone.
Each week, our customers place their orders online, and we deliver directly to their doors—fresh, responsibly raised and harvested at the peak of flavor. But what we’re really delivering is much more than food. We’re delivering a vote for the world we want to live in: one where farmers thrive, landscapes are protected and communities are fed in every sense of the word.
We source from across the Southern Appalachians, drawing from a network of farmers, bakers, cheesemakers and other craftspeople who prioritize sustainability and integrity. Every item we deliver carries a story of place, care and deep-rooted connection.

At Mother Earth Food, sustainability is at our core. Through eco-friendly packaging, recycling, and composting programs, we've reduced food waste. Our proactive ordering system keeps food waste under 1%, with surplus perishables donated to those in need through our community partners. We manage non-perishables carefully to minimize waste.
Local food is the foundation of a new way forward. It's a system where food doesn’t travel thousands of miles, but just a few. Where overproduction and waste are replaced by thoughtful sourcing and minimal environmental impact. Where food aggregation and distribution is part of the solution.
