Hong ("Hongie") Schulte, originally from Sichuan Province, China, embodies a rich culinary heritage from her region's renowned agriculture and spicy cuisine. Together with her husband and business partner, Stuart, they've journeyed from college in Chongqing to Moore County, North Carolina. Inspired by her passion for cooking, especially dumplings, Hong founded Moore Dumplings. Her creations blend traditional Sichuan flavors with innovative twists like vegan potstickers infused with Japanese curry. Crafted in small batches, these hand-wrapped delights offer a fusion of tastes, best enjoyed pan-fried or air-fried, yet equally delightful boiled or steamed.
