Alta Vista Farm is founded with the mission of growing high quality, nutrient dense, flavorful produce and actively contributing to a vibrant food culture in the southern Appalachians. The farm was created with the vision and purpose of holistically approaching social, environmental, and economic challenges both locally and in a broader, global context.Alta Vista Farm grows organic, nutrient-dense vegetables year round. They grow more than 50 vegetable varieties throughout the year using high tunnels and row covers, shade cloth, drip irrigation, and sprinklers to push the boundaries of seasonal produce. Many of their crops are only available at a certain time of the year, but with season extension tools they are widening that time frame for their favorite produce.
