Fishel Organic Farm is located in Grassy Creek, NC. The family owned farm is named appropriately by their last name. Fishel’s Organics was established in 2011 by Sanford and Debbie Fishel. Sanford began his career in soil and water conservation before moving from Winston Salem, NC to Ashe County to farm Christmas trees. After 20+ years of farming beautiful fraser fir Christmas trees, the Fishel’s sought to diversify. Sanford’s knack for gardening and his roots in conservancy led him to begin an organic farm. The Fishel’s received their USDA certification in 2012 from Clemson University. Mr. Fishel has many memories helping his grandfather load his truck to sell produce in downtown Winston Salem as a child. He has farmed since 1976.
