R FARM, located in Weaverville NC, was founded by John Rowland in 1980. Using organic growing methods from the start, John grew a variety of seasonal produce for the local community. Today, R FARM has changed ownership to Quail Romano & Hannah Jeske who began their farming careers at R FARM working as part-time seasonal employees under John Rowland. As young farmers, Quail & Hannah are using some new growing methods but very much staying true to the legacy of what R FARM was & is. We are proud to be a part of the thriving food scene here in the Asheville area & believe that with healthy soil, a lot of hard work and increasing experience we will be able to make this a sustainable business and lifestyle for ourselves.
